About Me

I have been exploring malls and other retail related things since July 2022. I love the stories these old malls tell and I have been traveling to as many malls of all statuses as often as I can. What drives me is the preservation of these places as one day many of them will be gone.

I love malls that feature old school architecture, specifically dating back to the 1970's and 1980's. I love brick planters and fountains and mirrored ceilings. We as a society seemingly have moved away from older buildings that have character to them. Malls and other structures used to be alive with depth: ramps, fountains, sunken seating, and colors ranging from earth tone to pastel. I chase these buildings to see them before they are gone forever.
